Dit project dat nu 26476 Staffordshire Bull Terrier stambomen beslaat is gemaakt om een beter beeld te krijgen van het ras als geheel.
Door deze 26476 stambomen aan elkaar te knopen ontstaat één grote stamboom met Staffordshire Bull Terriers van over de hele wereld.
Doordat alle gegevens slechts een keer zijn opgenomen in deze database is het heel makkelijk zoeken naar de juiste informatie.
Zodra de juiste hond is gevonden kan de stamboom worden bekeken. Deze toont de geselecteerde hond, de ouders, de grootouders en de overgrootouders. Op elk van deze honden kan worden geklikt om hun stamboom te laten zien. Op deze wijze kun je als het ware door de stamboom heen lopen. Vaak tot heel erg ver (ruim 25 generaties) terug.
Doordat er zoveel stambomen tot één geheel zijn verwerkt kunnen er interessante gegevens achterhaald worden. Zo is het mogelijk om heel erg precies de inteelt coefficienten (coefficienten van verwantschap, relatie en inteelt) van elke hond te berekenen. Op deze manier is deze stambomen database uitgegroeid tot een waardevol hulpmiddel voor fokkers en enthousiastelingen.
Om een klein beetje controle te kunnen houden over de invoer is het alleen toegestaan voor geregistreerde gebruikers van de website om stambomen toe te voegen. Registratie is gratis en biedt u toegang tot alle facetten van deze website.
